Faculty Recital: "Staying the Night,"  The Allen Duo with Lev Ryabinin, piano

Thursday, Sept. 28 The Georgia College & State University Music Department presents The Allen Duo—an ensemble featuring saxophone and flute professors Andrew and Elise Allen with pianist Lev Ryabinin—for “Staying the Night” at 7:30 p.m. in Max Noah Recital Hall. The recital title is taken from music for flute and saxophone by contemporary composer David Biedenbender that will close the performance. Biedenbender is an associate professor at Michigan State University. This version of his work, written especially for The Allen Duo, centers on love and loss. This concert will also be livestreamed at www.facebook.com/GCMusicDepartment. A $5 donation is encouraged.
