Considering Resistance vs. Integration: Practical Tips, Policies and Principles for AI in Education
Join us for the “AI in Education” workshop series. These workshops will feature presentations and demonstrations of various AI tools, providing time and space for the conversations you’ve been waiting for or wish you didn’t have to have. An interdisciplinary group of faculty representing three colleges and Russell Library will lend their diverse and different insights into AI and its implications for teaching at GCSU. Each session will focus on different aspects of this technology in education, including general AI applications and tips, writing and research. Whether you're new to AI or already using it, these sessions aim to showcase real-world examples of AI in education and inspire innovative thinking about its potential impact on teaching and learning. - Drs. Cynthia Alby and Ward Risvold will lead a session on how AI can be utilized in teaching. These discussions will focus on AI applications for education. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about and see demonstrations of various AI tools such as virtual teaching assistants, adaptive learning software, conversation simulation programs and more. The goal of the event is to showcase current examples of AI in education and prompt thinking on how these types of resources could potentially be implemented to enhance teaching and learning. The discussion aims to be informative for professors interested in learning more about AI as well as those already using it.
