Considering Resistance vs. Integration: Practical Tips, Policies and Principles for AI in Education

Join us for the “AI in Education” workshop series. These workshops will feature presentations and demonstrations of various AI tools, providing time and space for the conversations you’ve been waiting for or wishing you didn’t have to have. An interdisciplinary group of faculty representing three colleges and Russell Library will lend their diverse and different insights into AI and its implications for teaching at GCSU. Each session will focus on different aspects of this technology in education, including general AI applications and tips, writing and research. Whether you're new to AI or already using it, these sessions aim to showcase real-world examples of AI in education and inspire innovative thinking about its potential impact on teaching and learning.     • Facilitators: Drs. Roberto Leon, Bailey McAlister and Emily Pucker
    • Join us for a thought-provoking workshop in our "AI in Education Workshop Series," where we critically examine the relationship between artificial intelligence and the art of writing. Led by new Writing Studies Faculty Drs. Leon, McAlister and Pucker, this session will explore AI's role in writing assignments. In this workshop, we will scrutinize the world of AI-assisted writing, addressing both its use and non-use. Gain practical insights into the potential implications of AI on the writing process, including content generation, grammar correction and style enhancement.
