John H. Lounsbury College of Education's 19th Annual Summit Conference. A day of professional development for educators. This year's theme is Architects of Change: Identity Development of Young Adolescents and Educators.
The senior middle grades cohort at Georgia College & State University is honored to invite you to attend its 19th annual Collegiate Middle Level Association Summit Conference. The conference will take place on Friday Oct. 6, 2023, at Georgia College, from 8:15 a.m. until 3 p.m. We, the current Middle Grades students and faculty, have decided to invite public figures to speak whom we feel will aid us in our continued education to becoming teachers and can appreciate the opportunity to learn from others in our field.
Our theme is “Architects of Change: Identity Development of Young Adolescents and Educators,” with a focus on recognizing influences in one’s past education that will affect their future classroom. It's our goal at the John H. Lounsbury College of Education to develop into extraordinary educators, leaders, advocates and citizens. We understand that our experiences are an integral part of this process.
We are aiming to create a community that will promote more positive mindsets among students, educators, and community partners in all schools. These factors all play a key role in our theme of “Identity Development of Young Adolescents and Educators.” At the conference, you'll have the opportunity to attend various breakout sessions to customize your learning experiences with topics that interest you. Some of these topics include Middle Level Coaching, various applications of AMLE standards in the classroom, how to integrate technology into more than just instruction, and so much more! The Summit Conference will take place in Milledgeville, Georgia, at Georgia College & State University’s campus in Kilpatrick Hall.
