Dr. Kristina Dandy selected to serve on State School Superintendent’s Parent Advisory Council
Dr. Kristina Dandy, professor of psychology at Georgia College & State University was recently chosen to represent the Baldwin District on the 2023-2025 State School Superintendent’s Parent Advisory Council (PAC).
The State School Superintendent’s PAC is comprised of a select group of parents across Georgia. Each year, just 30 parents earn a spot on this council.
Dandy will provide ideas on new policies, projects and materials that will impact students and their families. She’ll focus on how to increase parent and family engagement for academic success.
PAC members are selected based on their capacity to lead, current levels of involvement in their child’s school and responses to application questions.
“I am looking forward to building connections with other parents and learning more about the operations of school districts across the state,” Dandy said. “In making these connections I aim to play an active role in fostering positive educational experiences for our children by finding innovative ways to foster open communication between parents and caregivers, teachers and school administrators.”
