Diversity 360 Series Event: Honoring Inclusive History at Work

Diversity 360 Series Event: Honoring Inclusive History at Work

The Office of Inclusive Excellence's Diversity 360 Series presents "Honoring Inclusive History at Work." The virtual event will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 25 at 12:30 p.m. Dr. Mark Huddle, professor of History in the GCSU Department of History and Geography, will facilitate the event.

There are various cultural heritage months (i.e., Black History, Women’s History, Hispanic Heritage, etc.) that are recognized in the United States. These are times of celebrations, as well as education of others' histories and contributions to this country. Understanding the importance and power of inclusive history in our workplaces not only helps us learn about others’ experiences and cultures; but also builds empathy, tolerance and togetherness; thus, establishing a welcoming and belonging workplace environment. Participants of the workshop will learn about the history of heritage months, why they matter, and ways to celebrate and honor the history in their work environments.

Please register to attend the workshop. All registrants will receive the Zoom link to the workshop.
