Music at the Mansion

Saturday, April 20 Come join us for a celebration of spring as Georgia College’s music ensembles gather on the lawn of Georgia’s Old Governor’s Mansion for a 6 p.m. “Music at the Mansion” concert. Free and open to the public, this annual concert features the university’s Wind Symphony, Women’s Ensemble, Orchestra, University Chorus, the Saxophone Choir, saxophone quartets and jazz combos. Come hear great musical compositions, like “Rhapsody for Saxophone Quartet,” by Eric Ewazen, “The Nightingale,” by Thomas Weelkes, “Drastic Measures” by Russell Peck and “Bed Monsters by Joel Love—plus an all-time, “Amazing Grace,” by Frank Ticheli.  favorite Bring snacks, drinks, tables, chairs and games for the kids.
