GCSU students end SEMAU

GCSU students end SEMAU

Drs. Charles Ubah and Jebessa Mijena took a group of 14 Georgia College & State University students to the 2023 Southeast Model African Union at Kennesaw State University from Nov. 9 through 11. The University System of Georgia Africa Council organizes a simulation of the annual meeting of Heads of State of the African Union (AU). The simulation, which takes the form of a three-day conference hosted by one of the universities/colleges in the System, is known as SEMAU or the Southeast Model African Union.

GCSU has a long history of being involved in SEMAU and hosted the event in 2021. SEMAU provides students with an excellent chance to engage in experiential learning and helps prepare our students to live in a global environment.
