Special Weather Statement: GCSU campus operations will continue as scheduled Friday, Jan. 12.

Another low-pressure system is forecasted to move across the Southeast Region bringing showers and thunderstorms to Georgia Friday, Jan. 12. Storms will have the potential to be strong to severe, but the greatest impacts to GCSU and Milledgeville are not expected until Friday evening after the close of business.

Georgia College & State University is monitoring weather forecasts. Normal business operations and classes will continue as scheduled. The safety of our students, faculty and staff remains the highest priority as we track the storms.

Any significant updates regarding changes to normal business operations will be shared via gcsu.edufrontpage.gcsu.edu; GCSU’s official social media channels; and email. In the event of emergency circumstances requiring immediate action, a GC Alert will be issued. Students living on Main Campus and West Campus should check their email and the Passio GO app for any notifications in a change in dining or shuttle service, respectively.
