Scholars of Health and Human Performance Studies (SHHPS) - Female subjects needed for Body Composition Perceptions Research Study Spring 2024

The Scholars of Health and Human Performance Studies (SHHPS) undergraduate research program is looking for females (18 - 64 years old) to participate in a research study. The purpose of this study is to examine body composition perceptions in females. Tests that will be administered to determine body composition (ratio of body fat to muscle, bone and water) are: dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA), bioimpedance spectroscopy (BIS), and skinfold/circumference measurements. You will also have your resting blood pressure, heart rate and fasting blood glucose and blood lipid profiles determined. After initial testing, you will return after six-weeks for a second testing session. Each testing session should take around one hour.
