GCSU Day of Percussion: Workshop with masterclasses and clinics

Saturday, Feb. 17, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. the Sixth Annual GCSU Day of Percussion usually includes hands-on master classes, clinics and performances covering: The Art of Practicing, Snare Drum Fundamentals, Cymbalism, Introduction to Mallet Percussion and more. We are highlighting solo and ensemble sessions allowing them an opportunity to perform and be critiqued on their performance(s).This year we are also featuring a special recital by Dr. Quinten Mallette (East Carolina University). The 2024 featured guest clinician will be Dr. Daniel McCloud, associate professor of Music/ director of Band at Methodist University where he leads all percussion activities and the Symphonic Band.
