QPR Suicide Prevention Training - GCSU Mental Health Initiative

QPR Suicide Prevention Training - GCSU Mental Health Initiative

As part of the University System of Georgia’s Mental Health Initiative, the Georgia College & State University Mental Health Initiative is hosting a QPR (question, persuade and refer) Suicide Prevention Training opportunity. QPR is training designed to provide information on how to identify warning signs and assist individuals in crisis. These trainings are not designed as professional certifications, rather they provide individuals with skills to encourage others to seek professional assistance.

Lori Hamilton, QPR Suicide Prevention trainer, will provide training, Tuesday, Feb. 13, from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. in the Health Sciences building, room 211. All faculty, staff and students are invited to participate. For registration, contact sustaingc@gcsu.edu.
