Free Community Event - Greenway Day: Community Yard Sale April 20, 8 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Join the Oconee River Greenway Foundation for a vibrant day of outdoor fun, community spirit and eco-friendly festivities at the Greenway. Whether you’re a nature enthusiast, a bargain hunter or simply looking for a fun day in town, Greenway Day has something for everyone. Come out and support the Mass Communications and Business Ethics students that have helped plan this event.

Event Highlights:

1. Community Yard Sale: Browse through a treasure trove of pre-loved items, unique crafts and hidden gems at our Greenway Day Yard Sale. Shop sustainably at the Greenway and give new life to secondhand finds.

• Student organizations: You keep all money from sales. This is a great way for you to raise funds for your philanthropy.

2. Kids’ Corner: Little ones will have a blast at the kids’ corner. Face painting, storytelling and games will have their imaginations running wild as they connect with nature and make new friends.  

3. Guided Nature Walks: Immerse yourself in the serene beauty and unique history of the park. Our guided nature walks will reveal fascinating flora, fauna and historic vistas. 

4. Food Trucks and Picnic Area: Bring your appetite and visit a food truck during Greenway Day. Find a picnic table or cozy spot and enjoy your food by the river. 

5. Environmental and Outdoor Workshops: Learn from the experts on a variety of topics and how they relate to our community. 

6. Music and Entertainment: Groove to different tunes throughout the day. Bring a blanket and sway to the rhythm of community harmony. 

7. Full Moon Float with Oconee Outfitters: Take to the Oconee River with Oconee Outfitters with their Full Moon Float in the evening. Follow the link below to reserve a kayak, canoe or shuttle spot for your personal boat:
