Songwriters of GCSU Concert

Tuesday, April 16 Georgia College & State University students will perform their original music for “Songwriters” at 7:30 p.m. in Max Noah Recital Hall at Georgia College & State University. Students enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor in Music Therapy or Masters in Music Therapy programs will present their compositions in classical traditions to modern and folk styles. “Moonlight Lullaby” by Preston Raburn will be performed along with the GeeCee Saxophone Quartet.  Liam Mueller will perform “A Homeless Man Aggressively Came Up to Me for Money” with violin and voice and Ethan Chase on piano. Sara Carr will do “Tiny;” Campbell Random will perform “Fountain of Youth” and “The start of the end;” Oliver Sanchez will present “Forget me,” “Lust” and “Island Boy;” and Meghan Jennings will do “If You Want Me To,” “Blank Slates and Small Towns” and “Sugar and Spice.” This concert will also be livestreamed at www.facebook.com/GCMusicDepartment. A $5 donation is encouraged. Online donations can be made at alumni.gcsu.edu/music. All proceeds benefit music scholarships or the GCSU Department of Music through GCSU Foundation, Inc.
