Check out the high-tech, self-guided tour at Andalusia this weekend
Are you looking for something to do this weekend? Take a trip back in time and head over to Andalusia, once home to one of America's most famed authors, Flannery O'Connor, '45, to check out its new augmented reality grounds tour.
Simply stop by the Interpretive Center to scan the QR code with your smart phone to begin the narrated, 3D tour. You'll get a feel for O'Connor's homestead the way it once was with panoramic views, videos and sound effects.
Once you return home, your Andalusia experience continues. You can resume learning about Andalusia long after you leave with a click of your phone.
“This value-added upgrade, funded by donors, is a remarkable way for guests to interact with Andalusia,” said Matt Davis, director of Historic Museums. “We hope everyone comes to experience Andalusia in 3D.”
