Facilities Management welcomes new director of Environmental Health, Safety and Fire Safety

Facilities Management is pleased to introduce our new Director of Environmental Health, Safety and Fire Safety, Dr. Michael Hejazi. Hejazi comes to us from the Gulf Coast Safety Institute, College of the Mainland following a distinguished 21-year career with the U.S. Department of Labor Occupational Safety and Health Administration in multiple roles including senior industrial hygienist, assistant area director and acting area director. He is recipient of multiple awards including 10 Honor Awards, five Occupational Safety and Health Regional Awards, four USDOL Outstanding and Dedicated Service Awards and one USDOL Security, Safety and Health Award.

Hejazi brings a wealth of experience and innovative ideas to our institution. We’re excited to welcome him to our campus community!
