Assistant Vice President for University Communications & Chief Communication Officer presentation and open forum – second candidate

Georgia College & State University staff, faculty and students are invited to attend a presentation and open forum with Mike Cavaliere, the second candidate for the position of assistant vice president for University Communications & chief communications officer. The event will take place Wednesday, July 31, from 2:15 to 3 p.m. in the Mayfair Hall Presentation Room. 

The candidate will deliver a 20-minute presentation on the following topic.  

GCSU is planning a major open house for prospective high school juniors. This will be an extremely important day for the university to recruit high achieving students. With precise detail, timing and examples, provide the following:  

  1. Describe how you would comprehensively promote this event to high school juniors, parents, high schools, community members, etc., in Georgia and beyond.
  2. Explain the specific steps and actions the University Communications team members would engage in on the day of event.
  3. After the event concludes, provide a holistic description of how you and your team would develop follow-up coverage and communication in a wide variety of mediums and formats to maximize the impact of the event.  


Following the presentation, the candidate will respond to questions from the audience.
