The Inclusive Leadership Certificate Program for GCSU faculty and staff
The Office of Inclusion & Belonging is accepting applications for the 2024–2025 Inclusive Leadership Certificate (ILC) program. The ILC program is a professional development opportunity for Georgia College & State University faculty and staff to gain valuable skills and knowledge concerning foundational concepts of inclusion. At the conclusion of the program, participants will enhance individual aptitudes and understanding, develop the capacity to appreciate differing perspectives and experiences and acquire beneficial skills that will contribute to a welcoming and inclusive academic and workplace environment at Georgia College.
Program requirements:
- Completion of a Pre- and Post-Harvard University Implicit Bias online assessment
- Four core ILC workshop sessions
- Two elective workshop/event sessions with reflections
- Group project / oral reflection
The ILC program will be held during the 2024-2025 academic year. Upon completion of the program, participants will be awarded a Certificate of Completion in a ceremony toward the end of the spring semester.
Fall semester schedule for ILC Core Workshop sessions:
- Friday, Sept. 13
- Friday, Sept. 27
- Friday, Oct. 4
- Friday, Oct. 18
Sessions will be held at noon. Locations TBD.
How to apply:
- Space is limited. A cohort of five to 10 people will be selected by OIB staff. There is no cost to participate.
- Complete an online submission form and submit a letter of recommendation from a direct report or department head.
- Interested participants can submit applications between Aug. 7 – Aug. 28. Selected participants will be notified via email Wednesday, Sept. 4.
