Tabling volunteers needed for an NMDP bone marrow donor drive (Oct. 22-23)

Tri Beta is excited to partner with the National Marrow Donor Program, formerly known as Be the Match, for an upcoming bone marrow donor registration drive, and we need your help to make it a success! 

We’re looking for volunteers to join us at various tabling stations across campus during our two-day event. Tabling will take place on Oct. 22 -23 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Volunteers will assist in registering people for the national bone marrow donor database by collecting cheek swabs—helping to save lives with just a few minutes of your time.

Here’s how you can help: 

• Sign up for shifts to assist at the tables across campus. No prior experience is necessary: https://givepul.se/ijuw4z.  
• Attend a brief, virtual or in-person training to get familiar with the NMDP’s mission and talking points. Training options include: 
  • Live training sessions 
  • Recorded training to watch at your convenience 
  • On-the-spot training, if necessary
