You are invited to join us for an engaging discussion with Georgia College & State University alumnus and media strategist Christopher Jackson.

Social Problems in Mass Media

Participants will engage and be exposed to mass media's powerful role in shaping societal narratives, culture and public opinion. Christopher will guide participants through movies, television shows, documentaries, music videos and books surrounding the United States' most prevalent issues. After hearing the nature of each media, students will have a chance to decide for themselves whether it represents a social issue in a negative or positive way.
