Now hiring for Communication Specialist at the Deal Center

The Communications Specialist is responsible for managing the processes of and developing content for a wide range of communication platforms for the Sandra Dunagan Deal Center for Early Language and Literacy (Deal Center) including press releases, story content for web and print publications, internal and external communications, email and social media account management and website management. This position will involve strategic planning and collaborating with Deal Center team members, Georgia College & State University and external partners to convey our work across the State of Georgia. Additional duties include proofing and editing content, coordinating media interviews on and off campus and assisting with other communication projects as applicable.

Educational requirements: Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing or related field.

Other required qualifications: Exceptional writing and publishing skills. Experience with website design and maintenance. Experience creating content for digital media including social media platforms.

Required experience: Two years or more of experience in a similar role.
