Now hiring for Professional Development Specialist at the Deal Center
The professional development specialist will design and implement a statewide professional development program in early language, literacy and brain development for childcare providers, teachers and caregivers of children from birth to third grade in Georgia. Responsibilities include creating evidence-based training materials, leading workshops and delivering professional learning opportunities on developmentally appropriate practices. The role also involves coordinating community outreach and literacy initiatives, managing specialized events and supporting instructional leadership. The specialist will ensure content effectiveness, maintain resources and adopt best practices in adult learning to enhance early childhood education statewide.
Educational requirements: Master’s degree in early childhood education, child development or a closely related field or 10-plus years of related experience and position.
Required experience: Three to five years of experience in early childhood education with children birth through age 8, along with expertise in supporting adult learning, coaching and facilitation.
