Call for faculty and student contributions to social justice exhibit

A team of Georgia College & State University faculty and the Digital Humanities Collaborative is developing an ongoing digital exhibition featuring more than 100 original works of art by major artists from our permanent collections, all centered on themes of social justice:

  • Democracy
  • Civil Rights
  • Immigration & Migration
  • Labor
  • Gender & Sexuality
  • Political Protest
  • War, Peace & Revolution
  • Healthcare & Environmental Justice

We invite faculty and students to collaborate with us! Choose an object and create content about it from the perspective of your disciplines and research interests. Formats may include podcasts, short essays, videos, story maps, timelines and much more.

Our goal is to publish content from as many contributors as possible to showcase the value of the public liberal arts and our respective disciplines with inclusivity and diversity in mind.

This is a readymade class assignment or capstone project.

See our exhibit checklist and guide for submissions at gcsu.edu/dhc/art-of-social-engagement.
