The way people look at mathematics influences the way they look at the world and society. From the first civilizations to current days, mathematics influenced the development of society. Looking into the evolution of the mathematical universe is like looking into the evolution of humanity. In this talk we will look at some of the ways in which mathematics affected the development of civilization and why it is considered a universal language, connecting humanity over time and distance.
