The Criminal Justice Program in the Department of Government and Sociology invites the campus and community to Justice Week 2025 events. Please refer to the attached flyer as some events require registration.
Wednesday, March 26, at 12 p.m.: Cyber Crimes Times Talk: “Who should be criminally accountable for illicit activity on messaging apps? The wider judicial implications of the case of Pavel Durov and the Telegram app.” Participate in a New York Times Talk on cyber-crimes facilitated by Dr. Charles Ubah. (Location: Russell Library, room 241)
Monday, March 31, at 5 p.m: Jennifer Hammock Legal Professionals Networking Session. Take the opportunity to network and hear from professionals in different sectors of the legal field. (Location: Arts and Sciences, room 363, GCSU. Registration is required. Spots are limited to 15 students.)

Wednesday, April 2, 11:30 a.m. - 2 p.m: Interactive Intelligence Demonstration with Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office. Join Dr. Matt Sanchez, Intelligence Analyst Evelyn Johnson and Sheriff Bill Massee from the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office in an interactive intelligence demonstration. Session one 11:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. is limited to 30 students with lunch included (catered by Surcheros). (Location:119 Old Monticello Rd., Milledgeville; registration required, spots are limited to 30 students. A second session is planned for 3:30 - 5 p.m.)
Thursday, April 3, at 4 p.m.: Defending Justice: A Conversation on Civil Rights and Wrongful Convictions: Dr. Sara Doude will be leading a virtual discussion with selected panelists. (Location: Virtual)

Friday, April 4, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.: Statewide Law Enforcement Career Fair. The GCSU Career Center will be hosting different law enforcement agencies from across the state on campus to share career opportunities with students interested in a career in law enforcement.
