Guest Artist Recital: Yoshiko Arahata, piano

Monday, Jan. 26  A Guest Artist Recital titled, “Kaleidoscope: A Piano Journey from Classical to Modern, Latin & Tango Jazz” will be held at 7:30 p.m. in Max Noah Recital Hall at Georgia College & State University. Featuring pianist Dr. Yoshiko Arahata, the recital includes gems from the classical repertoire by composers such as Joseph Haydn and Alexander Scriabin, alongside the gems from Guatemala, the Dominican Republic, and Argentina. The program also includes vibrant modern, jazz, and tango works by living composers from the United States, Latin America, and Japan, including Henry Martin and Pablo Ziegler. Yoshiko Arahata’s program will include her own composition and improvisation. This concert will also be livestreamed at www.facebook.com/GCMusicDepartment.  A $5 donation is encouraged.
