Flannery O'Connor and the Archives: Zoom lecture

Flannery O'Connor and the Archives: Zoom lecture

Join us on Tuesday, Oct. 7, at 7 p.m. for a Zoom lecture on Flannery O'Connor and archival material. This double bill features Kathleen Lipovski Helal (University of Texas at Austin) and Jack Love (Texas A&M University). Dr. Lipovski Helal's talk is titled “A Mystery Box: Flannery O’Connor in the Archives,” which refers to a recently-discovered box of O'Connor materials housed at UT's Harry Ransom Center. Dr. Lipovski Helal’s article on the same subject appears in this year’s Flannery O’Connor Review. Jack Love will give a talk titled "Forgotten Voices, Submerged Lands: Lake Sinclair and Flannery O'Connor's 'A View of the Woods.'" His talk features research undertaken as a Laidlaw Fellow at Georgia College & State University this past May, and will form part of his dissertation project at Texas A&M University. This promises to be an informative and interesting evening, with plenty of time for discussion.
