Flags at Half Staff Oct. 17 by order of Gov. Brian Kemp

By Executive Order of Governor Brian Kemp: flags on all state buildings and grounds ordered lowered to half-staff

The State of Georgia mourns the loss of State Representative Mandi Ballinger, who passed away on October 12, 2025; and

Representative Ballinger was first elected to the Georgia House of Representatives in November 2012, where she honorably served the citizens of the 23rd District and held the role of chairwoman of the House Judiciaty Juvenile Committee; and 

Representative Ballinger was a longtime public servant, valued friend, and beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. 

Now, THEREFORE, IN HONOR OF AND AS A MARK OF RESPECT FOR THE MEMORY OF REPRESENTATIVE MANDI BALLINGER, PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN ME AS GoVERNOR OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA, IT IS HEREBY 

That the flag of the United States and the flag of the State of Georgia shall be flown at half-staff on all state buildings and grounds throughout Georgia on Friday, October 17, 2025, the day of Representative Ballinger's interment.
