CARE Team Connection Series – Uncomfortable vs Unsafe

CARE Team Connection Series – Uncomfortable vs Unsafe

Knowing difference between feeling unsafe and feeling uncomfortable isn't always easy.

Join the CARE Team for an interactive drop-in conversation Wednesday, Oct. 22, to explore how we define safety, discomfort and support within our campus community —especially as we approach the end of the semester.

Topic: Feeling Unsafe vs. Uncomfortable: Knowing the Difference
Date: Wednesday, Oct. 22
Time: 12 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. (Drop-in)
Location: Arts & Sciences 251

Through real examples and open dialogue, we’ll discuss:

  • How to recognize when a situation warrants a CARE referral.
  • Ways to support students (and colleagues) who express discomfort or concern.
  • Building a campus culture that balances care, accountability and belonging.

Bring your lunch, questions and curiosity!

This informal session is part of the CARE Team Connection Series, designed to help faculty and staff feel more confident and connected in supporting student wellbeing.

No RSVP is required. Come as you are!
