Visiting scholar, Mary Stanley, lecture: Beyond the Studio: Navigating your Professional Practice

Join us in the A&S Auditorium on Thursday, Nov. 13, from 5 until 6 p.m. as we host Atlanta-based curator and art advisor Mary Stanley for an engaging conversation on navigating life as a creative professional. Drawing from decades of experience working with artists, collectors and cultural institutions, Mary will share insights on building a sustainable creative practice, developing professional relationships and shaping a personal vision that resonates beyond the studio. This talk invites students to think boldly about their careers, embrace collaboration and cultivate the confidence needed to thrive in today’s evolving art world.

Mary Stanley is an Atlanta-based curator, art advisor and advocate known for championing contemporary artists and connecting collectors with innovative work. Through her studio and the Young Collectors Club, she’s built a dynamic community that bridges emerging talent and established institutions.
