UPDATE: Dec. 10, 12 p.m.

Russell Library remains closed for repairs from a major water pipe break on Tuesday that flooded three floors of the building. GCSU facilities and the Offices of Academic Affairs and Student Life have made the following arrangements for students.

Study Space: Several alternative study spaces are now available for student use. These spaces will remain open and unlocked until 11 p.m. nightly during the library closure.

On Main Campus:
    •    Willow Room (bottom floor Magnolia Center/Student Activities Center)
    •    Donahoo Lounge
    •    University Banquet Room (back area of The Max)
    •    Dogwood conference room (3rd floor Magnolia Center/Student Activities Center)
    •    The Depot (610 West Greene Street)

On West Campus, near Pizza Hut:
    •    West Campus classroom
    •    West Campus Den

Student Disability Resources is temporarily relocated to 206 Parks Hall conference room.

Printing is available in the Student Engagement office located just outside Donahoo Lounge, as well as the Student Government Association (SGA) Office on the 3rd Floor of the Magnolia Center. Both printing locations are open until 9 p.m. nightly.

The Learning Center is temporarily relocated to Magnolia Ballroom with services available during regular Learning Center hours.

Testing Center: Students with scheduled testing accommodations will check in at the Arts & Sciences auditorium at their scheduled accommodations appointment time. These students who will be taking paper-based exams will take their exams in the Arts & Sciences auditorium; students taking computer-based exams will be assigned to a proctored computer lab. Students with concerns about these options may contact the Testing Center (gctesting@gcsu.edu) to discuss other possible test dates and locations.

Library resources are available through the library's Ask-A-Librarian service at https://libanswers.gcsu.edu/. Assistance is available via email, text and chat. Students who need access to print books should use the Ask-A-Librarian service to request materials; a library staff member will coordinate delivery. Library books may be returned to the drop box located near the doors across from A&S. Students who currently have technology items checked out will have their due dates extended to the beginning of the spring semester. Graduating students and students who will not be returning for the spring semester should contact Que Cummings (478-445-5099) to make arrangements to return their items.

IT Service Desk: Information Technology has moved IT Service Desk operations to Chappell Hall Suite 100, just inside the front door of Chappell.
