THE LIFE OF A FLOWER – Student Exhibit

Opening: Friday, Feb. 13, at Allied Arts Marlor House
Reception: 5 – 7 p.m.

Georgia College & State University art students engaged in the study of ceramics 1 are exhibiting their ceramic vases at the Marlor House for the annual St. Valentine’s Day flower show, “The Life of the Flower.”

Studio ceramics is more than art in the making; it is a negotiation between geological minerals and artistic expression. Students studying ceramic objects understand that good ideas and strong practices often develop through collaboration, risk-taking, working through failures and working through processes that allow for new possibilities.

Students making artful choices with plants, cut flowers and vases are one of the highlights you will discover in this exhibit. Guests may contact the artists directly for sales.

The students exhibiting art are: Myra Dell, Abby Richardson, Jenna Clinkenbeard, Calvin Reed, Julia Davis, Morning Miller, Carter Baggett, Arella Cash, Eva Snape, Brooklyn Haynes, Michael Haynes, Emily Hotton, Faith Beamon and Colin Van Popering.
