Places of Influence: Understanding and Preserving the Environment of a Writer, an online lecture with Karen Gravel
Karen M. Gravel is principal and director of Historic Preservation at Lord Aeck Sargent Architecture and Design Firm. She has worked on many historic restorations at Georgia College & State University's Andalusia Farm Property and Terrell Hall. She will present her assessment of the recently donated Cline-Florencourt mansion on Greene Street. Historically important for many reasons, this house was also Flannery O'Connor's home during her time in high school and college. Gravel will discuss the condition of the house and its contents, as well as her vision for restoration of this important property. Email oconnorinstitute@gcsu.edu for the link.
