Outdoor screening of John Huston's Wiseblood, a film adaptation of Flannery O'Connor's first novel
Join us March 25 from 7:30 until 10 p.m. in celebrating Flannery O'Connor's 101st birthday outside on the lawn at Andalusia Farm Interpretative Center. John Huston adapted O'Connor's 1953 novel in 1979, and filmed it partly in Baldwin County and mostly in Macon, Georgia. Starring Brad Dourif, Ned Beatty, Harry Dean Stanton, Dan Shor, Amy Wright and Mary Nell Santacrosce with a cameo by John Huston. Introduction by Professor Emeritus Bruce Gentry, with discussion afterwards. Birthday cake and popcorn will be served. Bring chairs, blankets and picnic dinners for this outdoor film screening.
