Attend the Spring 2026 Aquatic Sciences Symposium!

The Georgia College & State University Aquatic Sciences Center and the Aquatic Sciences Club are hosting the Spring 2026 Aquatic Sciences Symposium on April 20 in Peabody Auditorium (Kilpatrick Hall) from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Please join us for a symposium showcasing student and faculty research in the realm of aquatics and all things water!

The evening will start with a brief poster session featuring student research on hydrology, aquatic ecology and more. Representatives from Academic Outreach will also be in attendance with hands-on educational activities. At 5 p.m. we will have a mini-talk series facilitated by ASC Director Dr. Sam Mutiti, featuring graduate and undergraduate student presentations, in addition to a talk by faculty member and 2024 TEDx speaker Dr. Kristine White on the importance of taxonomy with emphasis on Caribbean amphipod diversity around Bocas del Toro, Panama. The symposium will end with food, refreshments and additional opportunities to discuss with speakers and poster presenters.

For students in aquatic research, this is the perfect opportunity to display your work and connect with other students and faculty. No matter your academic background, everyone is welcome to attend!
