Liberal Arts: Connecting college to career. An alumni panel on the value of a liberal arts degree
On Research Day, April 15, from 2 to 3:15 p.m., the College of Arts & Sciences will host "Liberal Arts: Connecting College to Career," an alumni panel featuring Emily Autry (Art degree), Jimmy Holder (Creative Writing degree) and Brittany Curry (Interdisciplinary Studies degree) and moderated by Dr. Emily Pucker. Panelists will be invited to discuss the value of their degrees in finding careers that may seem "unrelated" to their majors. First- and second-year students are particularly encouraged to attend and learn how to connect the skills they learn in their major to career paths.
Student questions are welcome! Afterward, attendees can enjoy popcorn and lemonade and talk with the panelists. A QR code will be available for faculty who would like to record student attendance at the event.
