A group of six sociology capstone students traveled to Jacksonville, Florida, this weekend to present their capstone research projects at the annual meeting of the Southern Sociological Society, a regional disciplinary conference. The presentations included:
"Perceptions of Institutional Change: How Do Faculty and Staff Perceive Declining Black Student Enrollment" by Madelyn Jones and Sophie Powell

and
"Analyzing a Case of Resegregation: Exploring Longitudinal Sociodemographic Changes" by Riley Burns, Alice Hughes and Sarah Waldron
The students were joined by their faculty mentors, Dr. Stephanie McClure and Dr. Jeff Turner. Several of these students will also share their findings with campus at Wednesday's Student Research Day.
