Faculty and Guest Artist Recital: Bryan Hall, violin and Allison Gagnon, piano

Tuesday, Oct. 6 The Faculty and Guest Artist Recital, “Northern Echoes” will be at 7:30 p.m. in Max Noah Recital Hall at Georgia College & State University and features Faculty member Bryan Hall, violin and Guest Artist Allison Gagnon, piano.  This recital features Music of Arvo Pärt, Jean Sibelius and Maurice Ravel. Solemn beauty of Fratres against the Northern virtuosic Dance styles of Sibelius, and Blues and Jazz style in the Violin Sonata no. 2 of Ravel. The abundance of Sibelius show pieces, as he is from Finland and the reverie of Fratres and the Echoes of Blues in the work by Ravel represent the Northern Echoes title. This concert will also be livestreamed on YouTube.com/@gcsumusicdept A $5 donation is encouraged.
