GCSU Wind Symphony Fall Concert: Looking to the Future

Thursday, Oct. 22 The GCSU Wind Symphony will present a concert, “Looking to the Future: Recent Voices in Wind Band Music” at 7:30 p.m. in Russell Auditorium at Georgia College & State University.  This concert is a contemporary wind band program featuring recent works by young, emerging, and underrepresented composers. Every work on the program was written within the last five years, offering audiences a fresh look at where wind band music is headed. The concert explores identity, cultural memory, tenderness, momentum, joy, and hope through music that is rhythmically alive, emotionally direct, and artistically forward-thinking. This concert will also be livestreamed on www.youtube.com/@gcsumusicdept A $5 donation is encouraged.
