Flags at Half Staff by order of Gov. Brian Kemp

FLAGS ON ALL STATE BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS ORDERED LOWERED TO HALF STAFF  

1st Lt. Tyler James Feehan, 25, 2nd Battalion, 55th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, 32nd Army Air and Missile Defense Command, honorably served our country in the United States Army; and

1st Lt. Feehan and three others were killed in action on July 18 during an enemy attack at Muwaffaq Salti Air Base, Jordan; and 

His awards and decorations include the Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Combat Action Badge, and in recognition of his ultimate sacrifice, 1st Lt. Feehan was posthumously promoted to Captain and will receive the Bronze Star and Purple Heart; and 

1st Lt. Feehan was raised in Bryan County, Georgia, and will be laid to rest in the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton; and 

It is fitting and proper to recognize the sacrifices made by 1st Lt. Feehan by lowering the flags on all State buildings and grounds to half-staff. 

Now, THEREFORE, IN HONOR AND AS A MARK OF RESPECT FOR THE MEMORY OF FIRST LIEUTENANT TYLER JAMES FEEHAN, PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN ME AS GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA, IT IS HEREBY 

That the flag of the United States and the flag of the State of Georgia be flown at half-staff on all state buildings and grounds on Friday, August 7, 2026, the day of 1st Lt. Feehan's interment.
