Join us online and/or in person to discuss "A View of the Woods," one of O'Connor's darkest tales. The setting is the creation of Lakes Sinclair and Oconee and the building of a reservoir on the Oconee River. The story asks the rhetorical question: Who gets to view the woods? Told from the perspective of a small child, this story asks important questions about the ethics of land ownership, development versus preservation of the environment and child abuse. Hosted by Professor Emeritus Bruce Gentry. We meet at the Georgia Writer's Museum on the Square in Eatonton at 2 p.m. and online at 7 p.m. For the Zoom link, please email: oconnorinstitute@gcsu.edu.
