Ethics Awareness Week: Campus Shred Event Nov. 5

It’s time to clean out those files!

As part of GCSU Ethics Awareness Week, faculty and staff are encouraged to participate in the Campus Shred Event.  Please place your materials in the designated shred bins before 9 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 5. Shred-Cycle will begin collecting the bins at 9 a.m.

Use this opportunity to purge records and files that have met their required retention period in accordance with the USG Records Retention Schedule. Last year’s event shredded approximately 9,200 pounds of paper!

Before disposing of records, verify that they meet the applicable retention requirements.
