LRC Video Chat: Protests in France, A Historical Context

LRC Video Chat: Protests in France, A Historical Context

The Language Resource Center will host "LRC Video Chat: Protests in France, A Historical Context'" on Wednesday, Nov. 4, from 5 - 5:30 p.m. There have been many headlines in the news lately about the current student protests in France, but do you know the history behind this type of social activism in France? Join us to gain a brief but informative perspective that helps you to better understand the truth behind the stereotypes of French strikes and demonstrations in the last couple of centuries.

Despite its title, the "LRC Video Chat," does not entail the online Teams or Zoom environment you may be thinking of, but rather a laidback, in-person opportunity to watch a short, culturally-themed video and engage in friendly face-to-face discussion afterward. The video will be screened in the LRC film viewing area. Join us on our cozy sectional sofa to watch, discuss and expand your cultural paradigms.

****Due to space constraints, seating is limited to the first 10 attendees. We will begin promptly at 5 p.m. *****

Both the video and discussion will be in English, so we welcome anyone who is interested to come and join us.
