Two, second-year MS Biology graduate students received awards for excellence at the Geological Society of America Annual Meeting last week in San Antonio, Texas. Megan Martin received an Outstanding Poster Presentation award in the Environmental and Engineering Division, while Muzila Nchimunya was awarded a Geology and Health Scientific Division’s Research Award (one of two they gave out this year). Both students, mentored by Dr. Sam Mutiti, traveled to Zambia this past summer to conduct...

Thursday, Nov. 13, from 6 until 7:30 p.m., Magnolia Ballroom: Please join us for a film screening of Yale Professor Karin Coonrod's adaptation of a Flannery O'Connor short story, "Everything That Rises Must Converge." There will be a panel discussion with the director and actor afterwards. Refreshments will be served. This event is free and open to the public. It's hosted by the Flannery O'Connor Institute for the Humanities.
