Dr. Ahmed Al-Bayati, ’12, has come a long way from growing up in war-torn Baghdad where he served as a translator to reaching the peak of his education as a medical school graduate and soon will be wrapping up his surgical residency.  His journey began in Baghdad when he was a teenager. Georgia College & State University’s Homecoming and Alumni Weekend took place Feb. 12 -17, 2024, ushering a new era of alumni engagement.
