Matthew Carey Salyer is most recently the author of Probation (Pen & Anvil, 2024), finalist for the Michael Waters Poetry Prize, and the forthcoming pamphlet, inis (Wallop Press, 2025). His previous work includes the poetry collection, Ravage & Snare, and a chapbook, Lambkin. We will be hosting our 3rd annual Venture Capital Challenge (VC-Squared) on Research Day this year. April 16th form 1pm to 5pm we will give students the chance to toss their business ideas to a group of judges Shark Tank style in a 5 minute pitch, with up to a 5 minute Q&A afterwards. RSVP is required, so anyone interested need to contact Dr Nicholas Creel at Nicholas.Creel@gcsu.edu or 979-373-8901 to get your spot reserved.

To kick off Thunder’s Safari Adventure, Wildlife Critters: Circle of Life Petting Zoo will be at the Library Green Space from 12:00-2:00pm.
