Georgia College & State University will hold four commencement ceremonies Friday and Saturday, May 5-6, at Centennial Center. At 2 p.m. Friday, May 5, there will be a ceremony for 291 undergraduates and graduates of the College of Health Sciences, followed by a 7 p.m. ceremony in the John H. The creation of this segment of the Oconee River Greenway had a lot of support from Georgia College & State University. Dr. Jim Lidstone, former director of the Center for Health and Social Issues, was a major catalyst in getting the City, County, and Greenway Authority together to compete for outside funding.
