In these two lectures, Dr. Smith will share theoretical and practical approaches to translation and adaptation for theatre based on his scholarly and creative work as a dramaturg. The first lecture will be an introduction to his current book project, "Dramaturgies of Translation," which covers a variety of canonical authors including Chekhov, Euripides, Molière and Shakespeare.
