Jeffry Mitchell will be our first visiting artist in the department of art in some time.  This pandemic got us down, but Jeffry is coming to give us a breath of fresh air.  His art (figurative ceramics, drawings, prints) reference the rich and complex histories of objects and the act of collecting.  In a way, his ceramics are a type of narrative that parodies our historical forms - as Margaret Rose said "a comic refunctioning" -  his ceramic forms are now performed with an engaged...
