GCSU Department of Public Safety, along with our partners from the FBI, GBI, BCSO and MPD, will be conducting ALERTT Active Shooter training next week.The training will take place Monday, Jan. 6, through Thursday, Jan. 9, starting at 8 a.m. and running to 5 p.m. in the Arts and Science Building.  We will be confined to the first and second floor on the north end of the building in classrooms, and away from the office areas.Training areas will also be adequately marked and partitioned...

Faculty and staff are encouraged to take advantage of an excellent training opportunity that could help save a life. As a five-year initiative of the QEP, we aim to have 50% of all faculty and staff trained in a gatekeeper/suicide prevention program by the end of Year 5 (2029). The Language Resource Center will host another Drop-in Board Game event on Wednesday, Nov. 13, from 1 until 4:30 p.m. in the LRC (A&S 273). Bring a friend (or two) and have some fun practicing your French, German, Italian or Spanish by playing a game. Bananagrams, Guess Who? and Mexico-opoly will be available, as well as several bingo-style games and various card games. Come and enjoy a laidback time among friends!
